What is S3-Compatible Object Storage?

S3-compatible Object Storage is a way to store unstructured data, such as files, images, videos and logs, using an API compatible with the Amazon S3 standard. This allows you to use your existing tools, SDKs and workflows as with AWS S3, but with a different provider.

  • Backup and disaster recovery — reliably store and restore data without managing your own infrastructure

  • Media storage and delivery — host and deliver images, videos and other static content at scale

  • Data analytics and processing — store large datasets for analytics, logging and data pipelines

  • Application assets storage — manage user uploads, documents and other application files

As an alternative to AWS, HOSTKEY S3-compatible storage offers similar functionality but with no extra charges for PUT / POST / COPY / LIST operations. HOSTKEY S3 Object Storage remains fully compatible with all existing S3-based tools and workflows.

S3 Object Storage Features

S3-compatible Object Storage is a simple and scalable way to store any type of unstructured data, from backups to media and logs. It is not tied to a traditional file system, and it handles growing workloads without reconfiguration and is typically more cost-efficient. It is fully compatible with AWS S3 API, which has become the industry standard.

Scalability

Your storage capacity grows automatically with no need to switch plans, migrate data manually or even purchase any new hardware.

Early Access Deal

S3 Object Storage is available at a 25% early launch discount, making it a full-fledged service available at a limited-time lower price.

High durability and data reliability

Data is replicated and distributed across multiple nodes, reducing the risk of data loss.

S3 API compatibility

Works with a wide ecosystem of S3 API tools and SDKs, making integration and data migration seamless.

Cost efficiency

The pricing model is simple and is based on just 2 considerations - your base plan and additional consumption. We guarantee full transparency with no hidden fees.

Delegated accessibility

Data is accessible via HTTPS with AWS Signature Authentication, allowing the user to generate a temporary, signed URL.
