HOSTKEY now supports automatic installation of Talos Linux 1.14.2 when ordering a server. The new release expands networking capabilities, improves security and simplifies maintenance for Kubernetes clusters.
Secure network connections
Support for DNS over TLS and DNS over HTTPS has been added to encrypt DNS queries, along with Network Time Security for secure time synchronization. TLS 1.3 is now the minimum supported version for etcd and kube-apiserver.
Built-in BGP with GoBGP
This simplifies the networking stack: you can now configure BGP routing without installing the separate FRR extension.
Btrfs support
You can now use this filesystem for user volumes.
Zero-downtime maintenance
Many configuration changes can now be applied without rebooting the node.
Talos 1.14.2 includes updates to the core components:
Kubelet behavior when changing CPU and memory settings has also been improved. Talos now handles these parameters more reliably, reducing the risk of failures when kubelet starts after a configuration update.
Talos Linux 1.14.2 is now available for automatic installation when ordering a server from HOSTKEY. Choose the configuration that best fits your project:
Dedicated servers
For production clusters, high workloads and full control over hardware resources.
Virtual servers
For testing environments, development and compact Kubernetes clusters.
Talos Linux is designed for running Kubernetes with a minimal, immutable operating system and management without traditional SSH access.
