The KYC Verification

The KYC Verification is carried out for the following purposes:

• to ensure correct tax charging in compliance with the laws of the European Union;

• to meet money anti-laundering and other related regulations;

• to comply with the requirements of the financial institutions;

• to prevent cybercriminals and fraudsters from accessing and utilizing our services;

• to successfully block fraudulent orders;

• to provide a good working environment for our Customers.

HOSTKEY do not provision services not allow registration from the citizens or residents of the following sanctioned countries: Afghanistan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Syrian Arab Republic, Cuba, Sudan, Libya, Turkmenistan, The Russian Federation, the Crimean Peninsula and North Korea.

Automatic Customer verification

All clients should undergo a mandatory KYC/AML verification procedure of identifying and verifying their identity in order to make sure that clients are genuinely who they claim to be. This data is used in case of complaints from the copyright holders and requests from the Dutch authorities.

Legal compliance requires us to verify your details before starting the delivery process. To this end, please ensure that all information you enter in the registration form on our website or share with our Customer Support Team is up-to-date and accurate, and that you provide a working email address and a mobile phone number. Submitted information will be automatically verified. Accurate information will greatly accelerate delivery and create a safe environment for the provision of services.

In case the client has not completed the verification procedure within 30 days from the registration date, the client will not be able to place new orders via hostkey.com.

In case of a receipt of an abuse notification or a notification of a violation of the law, the services of unverified clients will get suspended. In such cases, refunds are not processed.

Refunds to unverified clients are not possible.

Additional verification

Our Customer Support Team may reach out to you to confirm certain details you have entered, or to request further information, via either email or phone. The most common cases for such a manual verification are regarding the information on your exact legal business name and address, your personal contact details and proof of identity. Only when all of the details have been found compliant, we can proceed with your order.

NB: We may request updated information from existing customers, or simply confirm previously provided data. Plenty of time will be provided. In our General Terms and Conditions, there is a clause emphasizing that Customer information should be full, legit and up-to-date.

GDPR

By placing an order via our website or control panel, or requesting a quote, you consent to HOSTKEY applying its KYC verification system, which will process personal information required by law. We hereby inform you of the legitimate and legal grounds for requiring your consent.

The length of time required to conduct additional verification depends on your co-operation. Provision of services will start once we received the requested information and verified it.
