Information
Element Messenger is a secure messenger and team communication platform built on the open Matrix protocol. Element is not affiliated with any specific corporation; it is a cross‑platform, open‑source application.
Element Messenger. Core Features¶
- Security: the messenger uses end‑to‑end encryption (E2EE) – the server administrator has no way to view the content of conversations. Registration does not require a phone number; registration by email is possible, increasing anonymity.
- Convenience and accessibility: works on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android + web version. Supports calls via WebRTC/Jitsi, file transfer, bots and widgets. The interface supports more than 20 languages.
- Interoperability: Matrix users can chat with each other as users of different providers. Element supports communication with Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, IRC, and other platforms directly from Element via bridges.
