In this article
Section of the menu My Networks allows you to announce subnets (IP or AS) independently without resorting to technical support from HOSTKEY.
Attention
The service is available when renting dedicated servers from HOSTKEY or if you host your own servers in our data centers (Colocation). For VPS/VDS, this section may be displayed but will be empty.

Adding a New IP Block¶
The process consists of 5 steps.

Step 2 - Select the dedicated server for which to announce the subnet:
Limitations
Only one /23
subnet and two /24
subnets can be announced per server.
Step 3 - Enter the subnet address, choose a mask (/23
or /24
):
Attention
The subnet address must end with .0
.
Step 4 - Choose AS and routing:
In case one of our pre-configured AS is chosen, you can select one of the following routing options:
- configure a static route to the server's IP address;
- set up a gateway on our routers.
If your own AS is selected, step 4 changes as follows:
Here, you should:
- specify your AS,
-
choose the method of subnet announcement from the following options:
- announce via Hostkey routers
- set up a BGP session with the server
-
Choose one of the routing options (the list of options is the same as in case of choosing one of our pre-configured AS).
Attention
Routing option selection is available only if announce via Hostkey routers is chosen in point 2.
If the announcement method selected is set up a BGP session with the server, step 4 changes again:
Here, you should choose which BGP route needs to be received by the server. You can select one of the following options:

- Review and confirm agreement to the necessary terms for ordering the service by checking the boxes;
- Click the
Sendbutton (the button becomes active only after completing all required actions in this step).
