TOTP stands for Time-based one-time password. To enable two-factor authentication using TOTP, the user must scan a QR code using a special smartphone application. This application will then continuously generate a unique password for the user.

After that, a string similar to HostKey: will appear in the TOTP authentication application, followed by a 6-digit confirmation code that changes over time.

If the connection is successful, the message Code successfully verified. 2FA method will be set to TOTP will be displayed.
